Aman Environmental Construction, Inc. was contracted to perform the demolition of the existing reinforced concrete box culvert that transverses the Boeing property in a east-west direction.  The box culvert starts from a point just west of Building 102 near Long Beach/Lakewood city lines and extends east on Boeing property to Lakewood Boulevard south of Conant Street. Aman’s work also included the mass excavation and grading of F Street, G Street and 2nd Avenue.

Approximately 2,300 linear feet of the box culvert was decommissioned and 4,500 tons of concrete was sized, stockpiled for future on-site crushing and 240 tons of ferrous and nonferrous metals were recycled at an offsite metal recycling facility. During the mass excavation and grading, over 60,000 cubic yards was moved to complete the grading of F Street, G Street and 2nd Avenue. In addition, approximately 20 cubic yards of asbestos and 800 tons of non-hazardous impacted soil was managed for off-site disposal.
